About
About Park Power
Park Power is an Alberta utilities company based in Sherwood Park. We provide electricity, natural gas, and Internet to homes, businesses, and farms throughout Alberta.
We’re not your traditional corporate utilities provider—we’re a 100% privately owned and operated small business that believes in supporting the local economy.
Park Power was founded by Kris Kasawski, an entrepreneur, family man, community builder, and bowtie lover. Back in the early 2010s, Kris was working in the solar industry and looking for more business opportunities in the energy sector. He liked the idea of giving Albertans the option to buy their utilities from a local independent business instead of a big corporation. So in 2013, he launched Park Power.
Community building is a core value for Kris, so he built it right into the Park Power business model. Through our Community Partners program, we share 10% of our electricity profits with local Alberta charities. When you sign up with us, you get to choose which charity your bills support. There’s no extra cost for you. This donation is on us!
In 2015, we introduced our Green Power program, whereby we support the production of renewable energy.
In 2019, we introduced our Solar Club program to help Albertans with solar PV systems gain more value from their investment.
And in 2020, we added a third utility to our roster: Internet!
Why you can count on our utilities
When you sign up with Park Power, the quality of your utilities won’t change. Your electricity, natural gas, and Internet service will be identical to what’s provided by a big-name company. This is because you’re still tapping into the same reliable infrastructure that ensures everyone in Alberta has safe, consistent, high-quality access to their utilities.
