How to switch to DSL Internet with Park Power

What are all the charges on a Park Power DSL Internet bill?

  1. Internet Charges
    All our DSL Internet plans are unlimited. This means your Internet charge is a flat fee that stays the same each month no matter how much data you use.

    In this example, the customer’s on the Internet 75 plan, which costs $59.95 each month.
  2. Hardware Rental Charges
    If you rent your modem instead of buy it, your bill includes a monthly rental charge ($10 or less). In this example, the customer is renting the modem for $8.50 a month.
  3. ILEC Surcharge
    This is a telecommunications industry fee required for DSL Internet. Depending on where you are in Alberta, it can be anywhere from $4.04 to $13.53 a month.
  4. GST
    Add 5% GST, and you’ve got your bill! That’s all there is to it.

$70.56 DSL activation fee applies to all DSL Internet plans. Additional Dry Loop fee ($37.23) and wiring fee ($250) may be required based on current home Internet set-up.

Monthly ILEC Surcharge (Rate Band) is charged to all DSL customers. Total cost of monthly ILEC Surcharge is location dependent. Click here for more information.

All customers are required to either rent or purchase a Q Wave modem for an additional cost with $15 fee for shipping. Rate changes are subject to a $15 fee.
