How To Switch – Cable Internet

How to Switch Your Cable Internet to Park Power

Everything you might want to know including how to switch without losing Internet temporarily.

How does the switch actually happen? Does someone need to come to your place to set it up?

First, you’ll need to sign up for Internet with Park Power by filling out an application on our Sign Up Form.

After that, the Internet team will get in touch with you within 24 hours to work out the details around hooking you up.

With cable Internet, 80% of the time it’s as simple as plug in and go—we ship a modem to you, you plug it in, and you’re done!

In some cases, a technician may need to visit you to set up your connection.

Will you have to pay any set-up fees?

Yes.

How do you switch to us without temporarily losing your Internet?

If you cancel service with your current provider too soon, your Internet could get interrupted. To avoid this, please don’t cancel service with your old provider until you’ve signed up with Park Power and worked out when your new Internet service with us will begin.

Are you moving? Planning to sign up with Park Power for your new place?

If so, be sure to contact your old Internet provider to cancel service at your old place.

Not moving? Here’s how to say goodbye to your current provider

If you’re staying at the same place and simply switching to Park Power for Internet, you’ll need to contact your current provider and cancel your service.

To avoid losing your Internet temporarily, please don’t cancel with your current provider until you’ve signed up with Park Power and worked out when your new Internet service will begin.

We also encourage you to check your agreement with your current provider and ensure you won’t be charged any exit fees or cancellation penalties when you switch.
